Are Online Doctor Prescriptions A Good Thing?

Online doctor prescriptions can be beneficial when you are shut in, cannot drive, or unable to make it to the doctors office. In recent years the number of people with high blood pressure has increased exponentially. People are working out less and eating more processed and junk foods that in addition to being hurtful to your body mass and weight, can also lead to high blood pressure. If you have high blood pressure, also known as hypertension, there are many steps you can take to control it. Online doctor prescriptions may help.

Exercises that are designed to deepen your breathing and reduce stress, such as yoga or simple stretches and relaxation movements may help you reduce your high blood pressure. Good breathing techniques are important for you to keep healthy levels of oxygen in your blood system, and this can be learned through yoga classes or books and videos or even online doctor prescriptions. An added bonus to learning proper breathing techniques is weight loss when you choose vigorous forms of exercise. Any habits or exercises that help you relax are helpful when it comes to lowering your blood pressure.

High blood pressure is a problem that is increasing in the world today as more people are overweight and do not get enough exercise. Simple lifestyle changes and diet improvements are often the best course to reverse this serious health problem. But when you condition is in immediate need of help, online doctor prescriptions can get medicine to you almost immediately.

If you smoke, it is not healthy for you or those around you. You need to quit and the sooner you quit smoking the better your health will be. This is another great way to lower your blood pressure. There are lots of risks associated with smoking. The number one disease associated smoke is lung cancer. However, smoking also contributes to high blood pressure and heart disease, as it can harden the arteries and create blockages. It is never too late and you can never be too old for the health benefits to kick in when you quit smoking. It is not going to be easy to quit smoking at all, especially if you have had the habit for a long time, but it will be worth the hard work when you’ve lowered your blood pressure and improved your overall health. Online doctor prescriptions can help with both problems.

Reverse Diabetes Diet – Any Diet to Reverse Diabetes?

If you want to reverse diabetes then the first thing that you need to do is look at your diet and make some changes, but what changes should you make? There are thousands of diets out there- South beach, low fat, low carb, Mediterranean diet, and cabbage soup diet. They all work for the average person but they are not all good for diabetes.

Diabetes is a problem with sugar- so you need to cut out sugar and carbohydrates. Low fat diets usually promote a high carbohydrate diet and in general are not very effective. The best diet for reversing diabetes is an extreme low carbohydrate diet. Once the condition is stabilized then you can start integrating fruit and complex carbs back into your diet.

There are people who have gotten off all of their medication, reversed their condition and are leading perfectly healthy lives. But just like it took years for this condition to develop- it will take time for it to be reversed.

Most people who develop type 2 diabetes need to lose a lot of weight. It could take up to a year to see results but if a person commits to cutting out all of their carbohydrates they will see both dramatic weight loss and a dramatic reversal in their condition.

As with any health issues, this should be monitored by a doctor and should take into account any other issues- for example, if you have high cholesterol then you will also need to make sure that you keep your fats low as well. While it may seem daunting, it is possible to reverse diabetes if you stick to a low carb diet.

Changing your diet is crucial for diabetes- you must watch everything that you eat and look at sugar as if it is poison. You wouldn’t eat poison would you? But sugar will kill you and changing to a high protein, high vegetable diet will be able to change your health and reverse your condition.

Is Reverse Osmosis Water Healthy?

There seems to be much controversy today on the subject of reverse osmosis, or RO water, as I’ll refer to it from hereon. Some say it’s the cleanest & healthiest water for us to drink, while others say the exact opposite. Some say it’s better than bottled and the best way to protect yourself from contaminants that plague public water systems. This article is more from a neutral standpoint than either of the two extremes which are popular views of today.

First of all, what is RO water anyway? Basically, it’s a purification technology which uses household pressure to force water through a type of membrane. This membrane is semi-permeable and separates contaminants from the water as it passes through the membrane. Many impurities are removed during this process, such as asbestos, lead, other heavy metals & many dissolved organics, things known as TDS, or total dissolved solids.

This is all common knowledge by both sides of the RO debate. It’s also agreed that though many total dissolved solids are removed from the water, there are other lighter weight compounds that RO doesn’t screen out. Following are a few points of debate regarding RO and, by no means, is this an exhaustive list of what is being argued in regards to RO.

1.RO removes healthy minerals from the water. It’s agreed by both sides that RO strips water of minerals such as magnesium, calcium & other trace minerals. Those opposed to RO say that this is damaging to the body, while those in favor of RO say that the body receives its proper nutrients more from the food we eat than from the water we drink.

2.RO water is acidic. This is also agreed by both sides, though to differing degrees of severity.

Advocates of ROW will say that once the water is ingested, the pH level automatically changes when it comes into contact with food in the stomach, also that the body will always maintain a neutral balance. RO detractors say that ROW is an active absorber, meaning that as it comes into contact with air, it absorbs carbon dioxide from the air, making the water acidic. The more ROW is ingested, the more acidic the body becomes.

3.Leaches minerals from teeth & bones. RO supporters say this is a lie devised by the naysayers. Antagonists of purified water state that soft drinks, which are made with purified water, with or without sugar, draw out large amounts of minerals from the body, such as calcium & magnesium. More mineral loss from the body means the greater chance of osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, hypothyroidism, coronary artery disease, high blood pressure and a list of other such diseases.

4.RO wastes a lot of water. This is another point agreed on by both sides, yet to varying degrees. It’s common knowledge that RO usually operates on a 1:3 ratio. What this means is that it takes 3 gallons of water to extract 1 gallon of drinkable water using the RO process. Supporters of RO say that the water isn’t wasted, but can be recycled. This is also true, yet recycled water still isn’t drinkable.

This is only a few of the points that always arise when the subject of RO is discussed. As stated, I’m looking at this from a neutral standpoint. This subject will be debated for decades to come, and to me, it really doesn’t matter. Why not? To me, the healthiest water to drink is alkaline water. In all the “reports” I’ve read in regards to ROW, none have stated that ROW is healthier than alkaline water. Why not? Because it’s already been proven otherwise.

More and more doctors, health care professionals, practitioners & scientists around the world are advocating that aging & disease are direct result of accumulation of acid wastes within the body. Poor diet is a contributing factor in making the body more acidic. Anything that contributes to the body becoming more acidic is unhealthy. Anything that absorbs the nutrients within your body and flushes them out of the body, that is also unhealthy. Alkaline water is the healthiest water anyone can drink, period. I don’t hear or read anyone debating that point. One thing that everyone agrees on is that water is the sustenance of life. From that point, it seems to me that we should then be looking at the best water to be drinking. Others can argue over whether RO systems are safe to use within our homes, whether RO water leaches minerals from the body or not. Why don’t we all just agree to drink the best water available today and stop wasting time debating over points, many of those on which both sides ironically do agree?

Doctor Shortage: Why Your Health Habits Matter

Unless Obamacare Is Repealed, You Really Need The NEWSS

by Michael D. Hume, M.S.

About two-thirds of Americans want the dubious “Obamacare” – euphemistically called “health care reform” by its liberal supporters – repealed. Why? One reason is that it was an ill-conceived piece of legislation that was “rammed down our throats” using horse-trading trickery so nefarious that it forced concerned citizens into the streets in protest and gave birth to the Tea Party movement. Another reason is that, despite being billed as a way to reduce medical costs, Obamacare actually bloats government spending and, with it, our already-hefty tax burden.

Want more reasons? I’m just getting started. Another good reason most of us want the thing repealed is its resemblance to Pandora’s Box: we keep finding nasty little surprises (such as government funding for abortions) buried in the 2,000-plus pages that nobody had time to read before President Obama and the Democrats rammed it through.

House Speaker (outgoing) Nancy Pelosi famously claimed early this year that “we have to pass the bill so you can find out what’s in it” – implying we’d like it a lot better once we got to know its details. Turns out, the more we find out about this “health care reform,” the more we learn that it has almost nothing to do with reform, health, or even care.

It’s about money (for the government), and it’s about politics.

Perhaps the biggest reason we want Obamacare repealed is that it will, if left to stand, chloroform the greatest medical system ever known to man. Sure, “affordable health care for all” sounds awesome. Who’d be against that? I’m not. But socializing our medical system will make the health care available to Americans not just “affordable,” but “deplorable.” Left to stand, Obamacare will eventually and inevitably ensure that high-quality medical care will no longer be available in the U.S. (nor perhaps anywhere) at ANY price. It turns out the profit motive provided by our free enterprise system is what makes our system so great… and nowhere is that more obvious than in an examination of the looming shortage of doctors Obamacare will create.

If, as I do, you have any personal friends who’ve become doctors, ask them about that experience. Here’s what you’re likely to hear: “I had to go to school for what seemed like a million years, but was really only eight or ten. Most of those I spent in a sleep-deprived stupor, pulling 24-hour shifts and catching cat-naps at the hospital during my internship. I learned as much as I could, but no one can master it all. I learned that I’m going to be vulnerable to lawsuits over every decision I ever make throughout my career; but I kept going because I want to use my gifts to truly help people.”

My friends who’ve become doctors have, by the experience of joining that fraternity, mostly sacrificed their own health habits. They started as mellow, open-eyed, altruistic idealists and came out the other end much more stressed-out and slightly jaded (understandably). But despite all that, my doctor friends have made a good living for themselves and their families. Some can even get rich.

Of course, Obamacare will change all that. Eventually, all doctors will work for the government, like they do in more “enlightened” places like Great Britain, Canada, and China. The average government worker now makes about $ 75,000 annually (while most private sector employees make about $ 47k)… but the average doctor makes six figures. Can you imagine going through the gauntlet described above in order to make government wages for a lifetime of service? How inspired are you going to be in your work? How creative? How willing to dig for an innovative solution?

Maybe you’d be just as inspired. I will argue that most doctors wouldn’t. And that may be why fewer and fewer bright young people are opting for medical school. And why Obamacare is projected to cause a massive shortage of qualified medical personnel as one of its first consequences.

No offense intended to nursing students – I have great respect for them. But if Obamacare stands, sure, you’ll have “free” government health care… but a harried nursing student is likely to be the person who gives you the four minutes of attention to which you’ll be entitled when you visit the clinic say, six or seven years from now.

Remember M*A*S*H? It’s one of my favorite TV shows, possibly because I was in the Army and enjoy the military humor. But do you remember all the scenes of “meatball surgery” being performed by a small number of heroic doctors? Lucky for M*A*S*H 4077′s patients, Colonel Potter’s operation gave them a 97% chance of survival. Of course, what was being portrayed was the sort of “emergency” medicine performed under extreme conditions such as battle. Obamacare won’t make all of our gall-bladder removals quite so bad, perhaps, but are you really prepared for our supreme medical system to be allowed to become something much closer to M*A*S*H than it is to what we enjoy today? Do you want fewer doctors, forced to do more with less, stressed-out, with more patients than they can handle? And do you want to rely on their generosity and sense of altruism when it’s you under the knife?

The looming doctor shortage is only one of the scary aspects of our new “health care reform.” It’s only one reason your health habits matter, and you need to take personal responsibility for your own vitality now so that you might be less dependent on government medicine in the future. Start with the five key daily habits I call The NEWSS: Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sleep, and Supplements. Eat fresh foods and stop eating processed crap. Exercise at least five times a week, getting your heart rate up for at least 15 minutes. Drink two liters of water every day. Get eight hours of sleep. And take a good multi-vitamin (I recommend an easily-absorbed liquid nutraceutical).

Since this “meatball surgery” system is going to actually cost you much more on your tax bill, you might want to move now to protect your financial health, too. Start a business on the side to create a protected revenue stream from which you can’t be laid off. And get smart about the global conspiracy against wealth – if you don’t know how to protect the money you make, it will simply be taken from you in the coming global economic crisis.

It’s hard to believe our great medical system has become like a patient on life support. Unless we can reverse it, Obamacare will put the patient to sleep. That’s why you have to wake up now, and take personal responsibility for your own vitality.

What Tubal Reversal Surgery Involves?

Many women who’ve had a tubal ligation later decide they want to become pregnant or reverse tubaligation side-effects, and therefore seek a tubal reversal. This procedure can cost several thousands of dollars that many women cannot afford to pay out of pocket. There are several options available for funding a tubal reversal. Keep in mind that there are the doctor’s fees, anesthesia fees and costs associated with the surgical facility among other costs.
If a woman cannot pay the entire amount up front, she can save the money. While this might take a while it can be done. Then the amount will be paid in full and there will be no future bills to worry about. If it’s difficult to save money because there isn’t much left over after paying for necessities, then one should consider cutting out things that are more of a luxury than a necessity, such as cable TV. Perhaps one could cut out their morning coffee binges and pack their lunch. With these small savings, over time one can easily rack up enough money to pay for their surgery.
Another option is to pick up a second job to help in saving for tubal reversal surgery. One would be able to save quickly with the additional income provided by a second part-time job.
Another funding option would be to finance the surgery through the doctor providing the surgery. Many surgeons will having a payment plan in which you can finance the costs of the surgery and all other costs associated with the surgery. If you cannot finance through the doctor, you may try to get a personal loan from the bank. Interest rates will be more favorable than using a credit card. But, you may find you need use a credit card to pay for the surgery.
A woman considering a tubal reversal must first determine if she is eligible for the procedure. In some cases, the initial sterilization may have prevented any hope of reversal. For example, a sterilization technique known as fimbriectomy involves removal of the end of the fallopian tube. This type of sterilization
generally cannot be reversed. In addition, reversal may be difficult if sterilization was achieved through cauterization (using electric heat). This type of sterilization may damage more of the fallopian tubes, resulting in a greater difficulty with reconnection.

Abdominal Exercises – Reverse Curl

The reverse curl will develop the lower abdominal muscles and will help to reduce a protruding stomach and obesity. Many parents have no idea that their child could be overweight, according to a study which found that offspring who are chronically fat are typically viewed by their mother and father as being of normal weight. In a survey that involved 277 British children, researchers found that only a quarter of parents recognized when their child was overweight. Where children were obese, a third of mothers and 57 percent of fathers thought their offspring was “about right,” according to the study, published online Friday by the British Medical Journal (BMJ). The skewed outlook also applied to the parents’ view of themselves. Among parents who were overweight or obese themselves, 40 percent of mothers and 45 percent of fathers considered their own weight to be “about right.”

These perceptions are major hurdles to fighting child obesity, because parents who do not recognize the condition will not do anything about it.

Child obesity has already reached epidemic proportions in the United States and is spreading rapidly in Britain and elsewhere. One of the most simple and safe way to start improving your fitness level is the reverse curls. Starting Position: Lie on the floor. Bend the knees, place the feet flat on the floor, and place arms at sides.  Movement: Pull the knees to the chest, raising the hips off the floor; do not let the knees go past the shoulders. Keep your head in a neutral position. Slowly return to starting position.

Exhale as you pull your knees toward your chest; inhale as you return to starting position.  Repeat until fatigued.

You can increase a level of difficulties by placing a small pillow under your lower back and holding a weight (for example, a bottle with water) between feet. Keep your buttocks off the floor when you bring your knees to the chest. Repeat until fatigued. Always exhale when you pull your knees toward your chest and inhale when you return to the starting position.  If you have a back problem, start with massage of your lower back by your knuckles first for one minute. You might find it appealing and more effective to add to the reverse curls an aerobic exercise with resistance that involves some large muscles in the body.  Please consult with your doctor before starting any exercise program.  For more information visit www.tuneup.org.

Is Affirmative Action Reverse Discrimination?

Claims of reverse discrimination have been around for a while; however, recent events have brought it back into the forefront. With the Supreme Court’s decision regarding the New Haven, CT white firefighters reverse discrimination case, the election of President Obama and the nomination of Sonia Sotomayo, the first Latina to be nominated to the U.S. Supreme Court, some are claiming white men are being discriminated against despite the fact that seven of the nine justices are white men. I recall seeing a photo of then Presidential candidate John Edwards on the cover of Esquire magazine, with the caption, “Can a White man still be President?” There have been 44 Presidents, 43 of them have been white men. I think it’s a sure bet that we will see at least one white man as President again. Instead of asking such a silly question, we should be asking ourselves why has there only been one non-white President and no women?

I recall reading a quote by Barry Switzer, “Some people are born on third base and go through life thinking they’ve hit a triple”.

That profound statement truly sums up the essence of racial privilege and what it is to be white in the United States. It demonstrates that some people are given a head start while others have to work much harder to get to the same place. There is no denying every President had to work hard to earn the highest office in the land. However, President Obama had additional challenges to overcome due to his color.

To continue the baseball analogy, affirmative action is not about taking white players off the field. What it means is that they are no longer given the advantage of starting on third base but must take their turn in the batter’s box along with everyone else.

It’s about creating a level playing field where everyone must earn their way on base and where everyone has a chance to step up to the plate.

There was a time in our history in which African-Americans were prohibited from competing in Major League Baseball and were relegated to the separate but unequal Negro League. In 1947, Brooklyn Dodgers general manager Branch Rickey, motivated both by the ideal of racial equality and the desire to win ballgames, added a black player to his team. The player was the legendary Jackie Robinson. In doing so, the pair ended the baseball color line of the sixty-year era of segregation. Branch Rickey wanted the most talented ball players and was smart enough to know that some of the best players were not white.

Today, there are many Jackie Robinsons so to speak, who deserve a chance to demonstrate their exceptional skills and talents. Affirmative action is not a perfect solution, but does provide the best opportunity for people of all backgrounds to be given the chance to compete. At times affirmative action policy is not implemented to its true intent. There are white people who are passed over for positions they deserved. They have every right to be upset at the injustice. Yet for every one of those instances where a white person falls prey to discrimination, there are ten times the numbers of People of Color who experience such discrimination.

This is how I make sense of claims of reverse discrimination. For simplicity, the black team represents all People of Color.

America’s Favorite Pastime
White vs. Black

The white team is allowed to field three times the numbers of players than the black team. Instead of three outs, the white team gets six outs. The umpires are employed by the white team and use to be members of the white team. All the games are played at the white team’s home stadium where they are cheered and supported while the black team is booed and taunted. The white team has all of the latest and greatest equipment while the black team has to settle for the white teams discards.

The white team grew up playing baseball in organized leagues and attending private baseball camps. All of the previous 43 commissioners of baseball have been from the white team. Now the first black commissioner is attempting to appoint a black umpire. Yet the white team is claiming it is unfair.

Discrimination is discrimination not matter which direction it is pointed. However, it would appear that the only time many whites condemn such behavior is when the bus is backing up on them. Racism in America still results in a disproportionate number of white people getting on base because they were walked while many people of color were hit by a pitch. The end result is the same, but one is much more painful.

Document Printing – When Quality Matters

Your Options for Document Printing

For someone who needs to print documents regularly, there are great offers on home printers that produce good quality pages at a reasonable average cost. Shop around, and consider what you are looking for. For example, if you print in volume and speed is important, then you might want to consider a mini laser printer, if your numbers of documents is lower and speed isn’t a main consideration then ink jet printers tend to be a cheaper, and often an appealing option. The option of a color printer at home is a realistic one, so don’t assume that anything you have at home needs to be black and white. Shopping around for a home printer is worthwhile, as is shopping online, but you often find that large supermarkets have the best deals, particularly on end of the range printers. Sometimes though, you want only the best quality for your document, especially if it is a document that you are sharing with someone else. One of the documents that people most often choose to have professionally printed is their resume, and it is worth it if you want to make an impact.

There are many companies who will print your document for you, using high quality industrial printers that print sharp, high resolution documents that look great. Selecting a good quality paper or card for your document can also make a real difference to the look and feel of it. A good printer will be able to talk you through the options available and give you some advice- for example, if your document has a serious or high brow purpose they may recommend and different material and finish to if you are looking for a more relaxed or lively approach. Colored card and paper will also be an option.

There are many documents that you might want to consider getting professionally printed, and it isn’t always as expensive as you might think. Party invitations custom designed on your own PC and then printed locally can look every bit as professional as shop bought ones, and the personal touch always adds value.

If you decide that an external printing company is your best option then you still have a number of different ways that you can approach the service. Your local printer may offer special rates, and there are also lots of national chains who specialize in small batch printing. If you have a bigger job then corporate printers offer exceptionally low rates per sheet if you buy in bulk so look around to see what the deals are. Don’t forget to check online- a simple internet search will bring up numerous companies, many of whom offer very quick turn around times on documents, and will courier them to your destination. Particularly if you’re going to print on a regular basis, shopping around can pay dividends and ensure you get the best document printing possible for your money.

Reversing Heart Disease – Can It Be Done?

Is it very potential to reverse heart disease?
The right answer seems to be, “It depends.” The guts disease itself might be reversed or at least slowed, but any heart muscle that has died from lack of oxygen because of blocked coronary arteries can not be repaired. Thus the most effective likelihood of improved health in people who have heart scarring from one heart attack is to reverse heart disease causing the blockage in their coronary arteries to stop another one.
When heart disease is the results of infection, heart valve malfunction, congenital heart disease, or substance abuse, harm to the center muscle, so long as it has not caused scarring, will typically be reversed. Heart valves which don’t work properly can force the center muscle to overwork and become strained; repairing the valves will permit the heart to heal; typically it will recover virtually completely. Reversing heart disease that is the result of medications could be a easy matter of stopping or changing them.
Reversing heart disease that is the result of poor health habits is not difficult, however it can be difficult, because it requires what may be major lifestyle changes for several people. A program for reversing heart disease will include reducing dietary fats and cholesterol; forgoing cigarettes; starting and sticking to a regular exercise program; and taking cholesterol medication if necessary.
Reversing Heart Disease With Diet
Anyone serious about reversing heart disease will need to lower his or her blood fats and cholesterol levels. Studies have shown that vegetarian diets, with minimal cholesterol–between five and thirty mg per day, and 5 to ten% fat, will reverse plaque buildup within the coronary arteries. These diets eliminate saturated and hydrogenated fats, and replace them with olive, rapeseed, or nut oils.
There are less stringent diets for reversing heart disease which aren’t strictly vegetarian; they substitute fish for red meats. But reversing heart disease does demand that you simply avoid fried foods, and if you’ve got with high blood pressure, salt.
Reversing Heart Disease Through Exercise
Any changes in your diet aimed toward reversing heart disease can be minimally effective unless you furthermore mght begin a daily exercise program. Consistent exercise will build up the heart muscle and allow it to pump blood a lot of efficiently. You ought to have your doctor suggest an exercise program primarily based on your heat’s current state of health, and gradually increase its issue as your heart gets stronger.
An exercise program for reversing heart disease will begin with things as easy as parking further from the food market and employing a regular looking cart instead of a riding one. Moving for as little as fifteen minutes each day will start the process of reversing heart disease.
The smartest manner to handle heart disease, but, is to prevent it. By adopting some of the measures useful in reversing heart disease before it starts, you will fancy a life stuffed with the well-being that having a sturdy, healthy heart will offer!
